Family Caregiver Counseling
Life Coach
David Cantu began his studies in relationships and psychology in 1995 through the Global Relationship Centers. Teacher and founder of Global Relationship Centers, Bill Reidler, guided David's expertise. Mr. Reidler's teachings were influenced Dr. Alfred Adler and the work of Rudolf Dreikurs, MD., both trained in Adlerian psychology.
David's focus as a Life Coach is to help individuals build meaningful and fulfilling relationships - in family, marriage, career and with God. There is much encouragement in our society to find a soul mate, to make money and to achieve our goals. There is a wealth of confusing, misinterpreted and sometimes inaccurate information about how to do that. David's objective is to help people find "the truth within" which will enable them to live the fulfilled life they seek.
In 1998, David received a teaching certificate after completing 2000+ hours of instruction and practice designed to establish expertise in a variety of areas related to coaching. These areas included such diverse topics as self acceptance, living a passionate fulfilled life, creating inner peace, the ability to influence others, assertiveness training, conflict resolution, family dynamics, the power of forgiveness and skills to build intimate loving relationships.
In the past five years his focus as a Life Coach is to help individuals build meaningful and fulfilling marriages and relationships. There is much encouragement in our society to "find our soul mate", yet there is little information showing what to do once we've found them. David's objective is to fill that gap and help correct some misconceptions about relationships.
In the past century we've begun a movement in the world to correct the political, educational and economic imbalance between men and women. We're in the midst of a difficult process of redefining the roles of men and women, not only in the world but in the family. This shift has led to uncertainty in marriage and has caused great upheaval in many families. The rules of relationships that we used fifty years ago no longer apply. What works? This is the question David helps people answer for themselves. There are meaningful solutions and that is what he offers as a counselor and a life coach.
