If you are an older adult planning on a healthier year, then it is imperative that you stick to your fitness goals. Here are some ways to help you:

1. Eliminate obsessing over your weight - while an occasional weigh-in is okay, do not step on the scale daily. It takes time to make progress, and it is important to remember muscle weighs more than fat. If you spend too much time watching the scale, unless you see the exact numbers you are hoping for, you will become discouraged
